My Son goes to Italy

My oldest son Jeremis decided to go to Italy to tryout for the European leagues. He really wants to play in the NBA, but since he was not drafted, he decided to try oversees. I asked him 2 years ago if he would go else where after college to play and he was just adament about not leaving the USA. Boy, what a difference a few days make.

He had such a good tryout, his stats where in the top 5 of all 200-plus basketball players there from all over the world. I wish him so much success.

For your 1st child to graduate college and leave the country, now that is a big jump.

Just a little story of how much he loves the game of basketball; When he was in high school he broke his leg, so he could not play his sophomore season. While in the hospital awaiting surgery, he looked at me and said, “Dad, if I can’t play basketball again, then I do not want to live”.

I thought he was just saying something. Then he looked me in the eyes and said he meant every word of it. WOW! I could no believe my ears.

Watch your kids, when they become passionate about something, you really need to support them. More on my son in future post…

Late 40s and finding the woman of my dreams

Hey guys (especially), it is possible to be in a relationship and not feeling a need to test drive the latest model that comes out from time to time. I never thought that I would find one woman in this life, that would satisfies my every need. From the physical to the mental and every thing in between. I often tell her it’s a factor of my age and a few other intangibles. However, I am not so sure all the time.

When I have plenty of quiet time, I do a great deal of deep thinking on the matter, and so far I have not come up with a convincing reason why I am the way I am. I will say (WOMEN) she demands that I be faithful and that is a start. I believe a big part of the equation is I really love her. We sometimes get caught up in relationships for other reasons. I will have more to say later…

Jeremis Graduates from Georgia Tech!

One of the proudest days of my life has come to fruition. Jeremis has graduated! The family all met in Atlanta on May 3, 2008 to partake in the celebration. What from here? Who knows, the world is his for the taking. I love you, Son. ♥

Travel Party: Fort Worth

We recently had a travel party in Forth Worth and we had an awesome time. One super member is Pastor Brewer who started out slow and now makes thousands of dollars a month. It took perseverance and grit to do it, but he is now an icon in the travel industry.

What better view than while we are in Forth Worth, we were able to take pictures of the newly constructed Dallas Cowboys football stadium! Construction is still in progress.
